Adjusting Email Clients
If you are using an email client like Microsoft Outlook or Entourage for the Mac, there is one setting that you'll want to consider; leave a copy of the mail on the server for a couple of days.
In Outlook:
- Go to Tools
- Account Settings
- Edit your account
- Click the "More Settings" button on the bottom.
- Click on the "Advanced" Tab at the top
- Under Delivery, check Leave a copy of messages on server
- Check, Remove form server after Four (4) days.
- Check, Remove from server when deleted form "Deleted Items"
It is important to make sure that any large files are removed and you may have to adjust the number of days so that your account does not fill up too fast and bounce your email. This will leave a copy online line long enough for your iPhone or iPad to have time to download what it needs.
