Outlook 2003 Setup for New Mail Server Accounts

Step 1: Open Outlook and select TOOLS from the main menu.

Step 2: Select ACCOUNTS from the drop down menu.

Step 3: Select "View or Change Existing E-Mail Accounts" and click Next

Step 4: Look for your Default Account with the type of POP/SMTP (Default); or click ADD to create a new account.

Step 5:
Internet E-Mail Settings (POP3) Screen:

  1. User Information: Enter your full Name and your E-Mail Address 
  2. Server Information: SpamSoap customers enter mail2.ilgm.com other customers enter mail.ilgm.com for both POP and SMTP
  3. Logon Information: Enter your full email address and your password and then check "Remember Password"

Now click the MORE SETTINGS... button.

Step 6: On the "General" tab give the account a name.

Step 7: On the "Outgoing Server" tab make sure that "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked as well as "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".

Step 8: Select OK

Step 9: Click TEST ACCOUNT SETTINGS to test new settings

Step 10: Make sure there are no errors and then select CLOSE

Step 11: Select NEXT

Step 12: Select FINISH.

There should be test messages from Microsoft in your INBOX if the test was successful.
